when I was in college.

This was an assignment in infared photography. Alexys was one of my favorite subjects. She played drums. I took some of her playing the drums, but I never made prints. I'm gonna try to scan in the proofs.




This photo made it into some school show at the junior college. I wasn't trying to get into a show, the picture was really spontaneous. I was following him around the house and he posed under the skylight. He played drums too. I got a few rolls of him. He was really animated and loved to make faces.

Me too! I just never printed all the pictures, but I have the proofs. My scanner has a slot for negatives, but I haven't tried it yet. Damn, looking at all these notebooks really makes me want to take a photography class again.

I used to sign up at the local community college for a class they had two nights a week just to use their dark room. Now I have a very nice digital camera, so no use for those stinky chemicals anymore. I developed quite the alergic reaction to them my last year there anyway. My tonsils would swell up so bad, it was hard to breath.

I had a shirt I wore all semester to photography class and it was COVERED with chemical stains. Still, it's very satisfying to look at these pics and know that I did it all without a computer! And it really is fun to watch the image come to life in the dark room. But I wouldn't want my tonsils swelling up either.
