i have a big casio keyboard, but i dont have no wires 2 hoook up 2 the computer yet.

i wanna know how du u guys get that ol' skoo synth programmed in2 the keyboard? is that possible?

Hey Bro!

I'm not a real technical guy but I can tell you that my engineer
has a main control keyboard that he uses to run his rack mount
banks thru. In turn, via midi, he runs it into his mac.
What you're looking to do is entirely possible, but I'm sure
someone with a better expertise call fill you in on the details
as to how to do it. I do know that with the way he has things
hooked up, we've typically run the click thru the mac and fly
it over to the board in realtime. We've also, in an effort to keep
tracks open, have multilayered keyboard parts on the mac in realtime
and then flown them over to the mixing board.

The keyboard I'm using is just a midi controller. all my sounds are in the computer (VST Instruments).
I've got a few synths there, and I play and control them through my MIDI keyboard.

But you don't program it into the keyboard. the sounds stay in the computer. the keyboard is just a controller.
