And it's a refreshing version of the song. Yours got a different energy to it with the crescendo synth pad - it's almost a bit dark, but maybe just loungy? Anyway, it fits my mood right now

Wow this is a GREAT interpretation of the song... the dark brooding music totally offsets the chirpy happy lyrics. I dig it very much. If anything, it's too quiet. But that's me. I record with a 2X4 in one hand and a hammer in the other.

CinisterCee - in a nutshell, otan proposed that we all take an 80's song (the sappier the better) and turn it inside out. i haven’t been here as often but i have managed to catch two remakes. otan’s awesome rock rendition of Do You Wanna Funk and a sidesplitting country remake by artist08 of Culture Club’s Karma Chameleon - brilliant

otan - there were other things going on but i stripped all the chirpy, happy instrumentation away. in the end Roland’s MC303 was the only tool used. i’m working on that 2x4 and hammer thing though

This song is really fitting my mood, and I have it on my minidisc now.
Thing is, I had completely forgot about that Whitney track somehow, and now Marc brought it back and drained the excess cheese out of it. Now I hear the message in it alot clearer.

And that little bassline coda on the end is the shit.
