Wouldn't consider myself a god quite yet, but here goes (btw just download the acoustic version from the Tavis show, it's quite simple as far as I can tell):

alternate adding a g# and f# to the A chord (watch Prince on Tavis) and play throughout the chorus... then back to above.

i don't think i've got it 4 the full 100% chordwise, but it's close.....
