I just did some remix and EQing of some songs that were previously on MP3.com, but not on Soundclick. The songs are Imposters and Theory and Speculation. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

UPDATE - just finished up an uptempo rocker called "Strip It". So now you've all gotta go back and listen to that one and give me feedback on it, too. If you haven't said anything about the other two NOW you have to listen to THREE! Thanks!!

Imposters Love your use of strings. Slick song. Perhaps back off the strings here and there to spread them out. That's the only thing I can think of right now as far critique goes. Love the strings, just maybe too much of them.

Theory and Speculation I knew there was a rocker in you somewhere. Cool tune. Maybe take the effects off your vocals on this one. OR... at least leave the spoken parts dry. Try it.

Yeah it is dead. But not really. I got about 40 hits for my songs and 7 downloads in the last 3-4 days alone and only 2 people responded. Kinda upsetting, i feel ya. May have 2 start posting on bunches of sties, do u do that? Im glad the NFO II is going on strong.

It was kinda hard 2 hear the vocals. . I liked the way u were singing the lyrics though, they had a nice flow 2 em. But I couldnt hear u that much.

Imposters. Cool! I think I heard this before. It sounds like you backed off a bit more on the reverb on your voice. Much better, it seems. I agree with yamomma, strings are great. The piano here and there is cool as well. Great arrangement.

Imposters:
- I dig this one. Great use of strings and that tremolo guitar. It sounds way out of place at the beginning, but it sounds good after that. Maybe a ton of guitar reverb on it, to make it more spaghetti westerned?

Strip It
- That double-slapback echo on your voice is so distracting to me - it sounds very very 80's to me for some reason. You gotta go for the bare approach and strip off all the effects on your voice. You can do it man! WIth the echo, it makes it hard to understand the words. (then again, it COULD be because I'm deaf. Double up the vocals on the chorus - harmonies, or a second vocal screaming at the top of your lungs, 5 feet from the mic. Just a thought - it would add more impact to the chorus.

As always, just my opinions. I could be way off. Often I am.

And hey - what's the status on your band? Weren't you putting something together?
