Oblique Strategies, Anyone?

Has anyone used Brian Eno's "Oblique Strategies" card deck to help them make music?

If so, would you recommend it?

If you don't know what I'm talking about, check it out:

These are interesting from what I just read. Can you give an example of a dilemma and how you might use these cards, please? Where can someone in the US get these?

Hey that's pretty cool. It reminds me of the Creative Whack Pack.

I've never used any of these. I once tried to make my own list of things to do when I'm stuck.

My oblique strategy is to roll an oblique, and the creativity will be there waiting for me.

Of course, it'll sound like ass the next day... but it was fun...

sigh.

BRIAN ENO is 1 of my favourite avante garde musicians."Oblique Strategies",brought out in late 70's is more of a titilation for ENO AND FANS in my opinion.Use it if inclined, a bit of FUN! I reckon more of a mystery in Eno's esoteric world; i wonder if he used OS's to create 1 of his classics for people in coma's which run's for 68 weeks?BIT SAD TO SEE www.enoshop.co.uk
Can almost smell the dust settling on his once savagely sought after collectables.ENO IS GOD.
Without his genius a lot of the GOD Prince talks of wouldn't be there! FRIPPERTRONICS , ENO, BOWIE, FOUNDED A GREAT LEGACY.AND THAT'S 'NO PUSSYFOOTING', 'BABY'S ON FIRE',
& ' Before and after SCIENCE' ;KING'S LED HAT. LOOK @ 'HERE COME THE WARM JET'S', & ROXY MUSIC before OS's If your serious about 'making music.ENO IS GOD,ENO IS GOD,ENO IS GOD,
GOD created ENO, then ENO created GOD.....Look at all ya want, but only ears Hear the sound
generated from eno,s vinyl falling into your sole..SINCERE SCYTHER ART.Amen
. cool
