2 new songs

Hi,

Am in a band called Only Twin with a mate of mine and we've just posted two songs online.

Would appreciate any feedback (good or bad).

Thanks

music Nice. I'm listening to Myopiate right now. Great intro. I thought was gonna be an instrumental, and I was digging it and then the vocal comes in and the strings, wow! It just keeps building. Very cool.

Dear Mama is groovy. Again, I like how it builds up. I'm getting really into this. Could be the stoned but this is just perfect right now. And that sung part is just heavenly, very Portishead.

thumbs up!

Wow, I really love the vocals in Safety in Numbers. I love great counterpoint, hard to find these days.

Going to Waste. worship I was gonna try to refrain from doing that until I posted a few more times about your music, but DAMN!

I'm so bummed I can't download this. pout

I was reading your band page on soundclick and I smiled when I read "Equipment used: Anything free". Man do I KNOW what that's about! Most of my stuff is hand me downs, or used things I bought from cousins. Doesn't matter does it? You guys have great tunes.

Ok, so explain who you are (James or Glenn?) and what you play.

Glenn plays guitar (acoustic) and sings, whilst I play piano/synths, occasionally rap and then put the songs together/produce them. Some songs he writes, some I write and some we right together.

Got a really simple setup - Cubase SL, Rode NT4 mic, Audiophile soundcard and an Evolution keyboard. Then I just use free VSTs like Sampletank, Reaktor, mda piano and anything that comes free with Computer Music and Future Music mags or downloaded online.

Free is the way forward!

You're so lucky to have a musical partner. Still searching for my perfect match. sad Let Glenn know that when he sings on Dear Mama, he sounds like a male Beth Gibbons. Very sexy and moody.

You've proven my theory that you don't need the best/top of the line equipment to make great music. So do you guys play live? Getting a cd together? Whats the story?

Just getting a CD together at the moment. As yet nothing live planned, but u never know...one day maybe...would require some kind of laptop with quality speakers setup and unfortunately I can't afford that just yet...

Same here! Well, once I find at least ONE other person to collaborate with, I'm sure we are gonna have to utilize a laptop on stage. I saw Howard Jones live last year and he played his keyboards, had a laptop, he sang, had a back up singer, a guy doing some DJ/mixing and a guitarist. It was pretty cool.
