Hi,

Have recorded some songs with a mate of mine and want to stream them online. Any recommendations for which website is the best to use? soundclick? peoplesound? mp3.com? Are there any that are more UK-based?

Yep, we're all on soundclick, since mp3.com was shut down.

But even before they shut down, we all discovered soundclick (thanks to psykosoul, that whacky trendsetter). Soundclick has unlimited uploads (unlike mp3.com) and no waiting time... you upload it, it's there right away.

mp3.com dont work & will probably have some teething problems when its back up due to the site being inactive for so long. People sound is cool but thats if anyone ever sees your page. Soundclick is definatly the best. Fast loading site, free promotion through the charts system, artists pages look kinda cool, no apparent limit on number of songs on your site (or at least I aint reached it yet) & the search engine response to your page is awesome.

I know what your thinking, why would someone with their own website use free artist pages like soundclick? I have pages with soundclick, peoplesound & (until recently) mp3.com because the free promotion helps get word out about my music to places where cloud9mission.com cant. Plus google sees all my other pages with a link to cloud9mission & ranks cloud9mission higher .

Free artist pages are a must for any online artist whether you use it cos you are unable to design your own site or promote your existing website.
