"Candidate..." has my head bobbin'. It has an old school "green now or later" (candy for those that don't know) funk. both songs are deep in thought as usual. If u were in Atlanta we would definitely have 2 hook up. Watch out NFO the christian funk project will be as funky as the secular project.

I hope so Tal. I really want more and more people to participate. If you know any Christians who want to join The One, let them know! Thanks for your cool comments! I will always think of that song as a "Mystery Now and Later" now! In fact, if I do a CD single, I will have one on the cover!

Candidate 4 The Party.

O ma gawd. This is very soulful funk! I love it! This will go down as one of my favorites of yours! I love the lyrical arrangement! I LOVE IT! I wish me and you collaborated on this! This is really nice. Real nice. I gotta download this.

Ooooh, The Bridge reminds me of The Beautiful Ones. Your voice is reminded me of someone else though, trying to think of who. This is Beautiful, J. Oh, you know what? This reminds me of PM Dawn. I hope this doesn't offend, but when you sing on this one you sound very feminine. The singer on PM Dawn is like that too, very androgynous. I really like it.

Candidate is cool too. I gotta finish getting ready for work, so I'll write more about that later.

I agree with Vinas PM Dawn comment on the Bridge. What a beautiful, subtle and moody tune. While that's true the message is AWESOME.

Candidate is just FUNKY, 80's funk more specifically. Love the stops in the chorus and the bass in the verse. Goes into the same moody vibe as the Bridge (IMO) towards the end or maybe it's just those keys making me feel that.

Thanks Vina, S2TG, for the awesome comparisons! The Bridge does have a PM Dawn feel to it. I have always liked PM Dawn as well. In fact, I contacted them a few weeks ago and asked them to participate in the NFO. "Candidate" is popish enough to actually make it, and that is real cool, since I really just made that song for my enjoyment! The Bridge is one that I made for all people and I really hope that the message of that song gets through to some folks. By the way, that is mainly my real falsetto on The Bridge, and the low part on Candidate is my real voice also.
