A New Poem by ME- "King of the Toads": PLEASE READ. There once was a man who came along
peaceful filled with glee, who only wanted to sing his songs and keep the music free He had a map of how to get there but didn't know the roads He travelled until one day, unaware He met the king of the toads The toad was happy to share his views in fact he gave him a car to better find his path anew under a brighter star But to the man's surprise the toad wanted to take the map The toad was angry of the load that laid upon his lap Why should I be number 2? the Toad said to himself But Toad, the map is for me AND you and her and everyone else! I brought the map for all of us, because it shows the way For all of us to break the dust and enter a brand new day. But you, Mr. Toad, are wrong to act so madly irate, in thinking that by coming along that it would make you great. The fact is that I own the way But freely I do share If you will only humbly say "my work is mine to bear". Jason Dodson Copyright 2004. | |

For some reason, this reminds me of a Duran Duran song.
Salt in the Rainbow Something to remember in some far off time when you get that lonely shine in your eye. Dreams and lovers, ever wonder why When everything starts breaking down they’re reaching for the sky. You are forever all I understand. I hold forever here within my hands. Picking through the pieces and what do you have to all? Just the danger of relying on those who’d let you fall. So you try, try much harder until the truth is gone. The very thing you’ve been searching for has been yours all along. We are forever all we understand. This is forever here within our hands.
