Jshua Update! 3 new ones... Hey Everyone!
Here are 3 new slices... http://www.soundclick.com/jshua --click on MP3's-- 1) Midnight--Very Psychedelic! This was on a double CD I did in 2000 called: Divination: A Movie for the mind. 2) Beautiful--another selection from the Divination project... 3) To You,kid--A demo version of a tune that I'm currently recording on my new CD project.. I guess I was in a bit of an acoustic mood 2day! p.s. I also put Sweet Erotica back up Jshua

"Psych" is kinda Axel Rose, "Beautiful" is very romantic.I love your ballads man.Nice harmonies."To u kid" is kinda like "old friends for sale". I like it. Some strings would be nice on this one.

I'm totally biased. I don't think you can write a song that I don't like. Love "Psychadelic". It doesn't get much better.
Thank God for the Hippeezz like me that still live. Gr8 tune.

Midnight: Wow, I really dig the vibe of this. I can't believe how versatile you are! This kind reminds me of Temple of the Dog, do you know who they are? It reminds me of the Soundgarden song in the movie Singles too. Very beautiful.
Beautiful: Nice vocals and harmonies. I hear a little Prince in this. To You, Kid: Also a nice vibe. Looking forward to the finished version. I like that you ended the song on that chord.

I'm Glad you liked "Midnight"---I'm still very much a hippy myself.. Vina: Thanx for listening! and yeah, I remember temple of the dog and Soungarden: Both great bands! Too cool! Is there a particular style, you'd like to hear from me? just let me know Jshua

You know, I've actually got something with a sitar in it? But its from a while ago and I used tablas and a Dumbek drum on Midnight... Lemme see what I can come up with Vina! We'll be in touch! Jshua

Hey Vina!
You are too much! but you know what? You've got me to thinking... Tell you what, when I come up with this Indian song with a sitar and tabla on it, then you've got to be a part of it Cool? but as far as your other statement goes: I'm a big fan of yours as well as others here!!! We all share our lives and that's what's most important! Jshua

Okay I just heard Sweet Erotica today. I'm completely blown away by that one. In my head, if Prince and the Soulquarians ever collaborated...this is exactly what it would sound like. I think I got to get the MP3 of that one before you take it away again . [This message was edited Sat Jan 3 15:50:33 PST 2004 by psykosoul]

To you kid..
Really liked this one, great writing, great performance. I'd make a full fledged arrangement on this one. I'd also back off the kid part maybey substitute with "baby" here and there or omit it all together at some points. Very cool tune I downloaded that one. Midnight kind of remided me of a cross between Fleetwood mac and some other classic rock band. You could have blown it open with a groovy beat and poppin bass. I really dig the part where the wah guitar comes in, kewl. oh woa - Sweet Erotica... First time hearing this one. Very niiice! like i said very niiice! --- You have an outstanding voice, man. Keep them coming. -- Toy http://www.soundclick.com...nmusic.htm

Hey Toystein!
Thank you for the critique! I'm in the middle of doing a full fledged version of "To you, kid" and I was thinking the same thing about the word "kid" so many times... For "Midnight", I wanted to blow it open ,like you were talking about, with a live band--now that would be sweet! And thanx for the shout out on "Sweet Erotica", I woke up with that one and went straght into the studio and tracked it in one straight shot... Jshua

Love these songs. Again, great voice.
My favorite by far is Midnight. Singing along with the riff is always cool. It's chorus reminds me of "Can't find my way home" by Traffic and I love the outside sounds in the intro. Very creative and cool. Thanks for sharing these.
