Musicmatch Jukebox can convert an mp3 into a wav, and vice versa, but it can't rip a wav file from a CD. Itunes - can they rip a wav file from a CD? The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

On the MAC, I just copy and paste the CDDA file off the CD to the hard drive.
I noticed that on a PC, it copies an empty file or a reference file. So on the PC, I use soundforge and use the "import file from CD" option and save it as a .wav file. On the MAC I use "Peak DV" to convert the files.

itunes imports whatever audio file type you tell it too.
When you import a CD into itunes it defaults to making it an .mp3 though. I guess because it was made to integrate with the ipod. LOVE itunes. i like having this massive library of all my CDs. It also helps to have 480 Gigs of space as well. my library takes up 12.6 Gigs mainly because I import my CDs now as the higher quality CDDA files. For some reason when I use .mp3s with final cut pro and go to make DVDs it pops like an old record.
