Awesome site Beau!

1.) when I'm viewing it through IE on the MAC the layout/Nav is crazy off to the side.

2.) the redish header backgrounds spread accross the whole page.

3.) the hair line that separates the top and the side is off by about 1/4 inch.

Is it java that holds that together?

Just letting you know what it looks like on a MAC.

Now I'm going to go check the NFO site on Netscape and AOL.
eek!

Thanks for the input NFO. I need to learn to cross-develop! Augh.

Unfortunately. Netscape's development, while admirable, has also flown so far from mainstream dhtml, (even though they claim to be the closest to the WC3's standards) that it's now impossible to code for all browsers (using dhtml and css), without creating mammoth filesizes.

And yes, Opera is the bomb, and Linux is awesome, but, unfortunately, I haven't taken the time to really cross-develop.

So, yeah, on a Mac, it's a nut house. The menus are javascript magic, straight out of Dreamweaver, so I blame them for crapping it up. The layout is css and dhtml, (as opposed to tables and font tags) so, unfortunately, there's going to be miserable incompatability issues.

The best solution is to dumb the site down.

However.

Today, I'm building a site using a CMS (content management system) and I'm pretty impressed by it. So, the entire site will see a drastic change (or, HOPEFULLY, you WONT see a drastic change, but hey, we'll find out).

A drummer that I've worked with, hell, almost ANY Atlanta blues band has worked with, is in the hospital, and we're putting together a benefit (no insurance; he's a full time musician). And I'm putting together the site.

www.johnmcknight.org

Take a look and tell me how bad it looks on a Mac. I'm afraid to look.
