And if you have, what kind of advice could you give to someone yearning to...? My band is somewhat poor, and I was wondering, if if we took a chance playing the smaller club circuit would be worth it? We are willing to sacrifice money for good exposure and a good time, and I've heard they treat the working american musician ok over there. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Talmuzic toured in Italy. I know that much. Drop him an orgnote. From what he told me, them europeans are butt-crazy about American music... take the blues for instance. Over there, you're royalty. Over here, you're some long-buried, forgotten style like dixieland or rap.

Depends on how serious and how much you can put into it prior to setting out...

i.e.
- press a couple hundred CD’s for press (radio and print) and more for gig sales
- line up interviews with each city’s local radio, college radio and print press prior to each city’s arrival and gig
- posters to advertise
- contact promoters to pitch your band as an opening act
- research euro blues festivals and plan your route accordingly
- be prepared for the euro dollar conversion, your accommodations, transportation and meals

Ive toured holand, italy & spain in my younger years. Get a good tour company involved cos you have no idea the things that can go wrong when touring & they'll take care of all that

I tour France and Switzerland every year.
I've just been at an advantage to be with a band who already have had contacts out there for over a decade.

That would be cool!! How are things going? We're kind of trapped in our area for now until just before we move to Oregon in March. Then it's on!!! If all goes as planned that is. Hehe I might come to mpls to see you play sometime, though. Plus I'll have some shows that I'm setting up here in January if you might be interested. I'm having levitt8 back, maybe you could join that bill if you're traveling.
