A Good Essay By JDODSON I found this online by a fellow P.Org member, and I thought that you all could use this to find some insight.
The New Love Manifesto, by Jason Dodson Chapter 1- What Is The Definition Of Love? Love can mean anything that an individual sees it to be. However, love has only one real meaning and proof of it's existence- life. Anything out of love produces life. There is physical life and there is spiritual life. Spiritual life includes emotions and the supernatural, physical life includes scientific explanations of how organisms survive with the force of energies. If the love of a Creator produces life, and we produce out of love, we also produce life. If the basis of anything has negative connotations, it is destined to produce negativity. Some people produce things out of hatred, and those things will not stand, unless a positive revolution is made to save it. If you don't love, you won't hear what I have to say. Do you have any idea of what love is? What do you love? Who do you love? Loving material things is useless. I will not use any Biblical of mythical references to back that statement, but just from my personal experience, I have found that materialism is a negative force. Materialism leads to selfishness and is in itself a selfish system. Goods are nothing when your life is lonely. So if one actually believes that when one says "I love my car" or "I love that song", then they are very empty. Love is not bought or sold. When you buy something out of love for yourself, then it is a good thing. But, when you buy something for yourself, and someone else you know was in need of something more than you, then it was selfishness. There is a line between necessity and extravagance. The balance of moderation is the good goal- being able to love others and yourself at the same time. Happiness is in love also. If loving everyone else makes you neglect loving yourself, and you are not happy, you should find a balance. Love is not selfish, but it is not slavery either. People who tell you the following are wrong and living in negativity..."if you don't give large sums of money to them or some other charity then you are not doing what God wants you to do". That kind of extortion should be unlawful. The house of God is not a house of finance or politics. The house of God should be a house of love. Aside from actual spiritual writings, does anyone have a right to determine what God wants, or to humiliate people who have different beliefs? The answer is absolutely not. Every human dies the physical death, and we all hurt and bleed the same blood. No one human is of another species but human. We are all imperfect in some way. We all miscommunicate, we all have faults. There should be no denominational barrier on love for one another. I know that many people will not accept what I have to say, but as everything is, so it will also be for each other and everyone individually. When real love is upon you, it will first break you down. You will be tempted, and you will be tested. But fighting against the enemy with love, and enduring to the end, you will have eternal life with love. Chapter 2- The New Love Revolution Why do we need a love revolution? Simple...for the preparation of the coming of eternal life and/or Jesus Christ's physical return, depending on if you believe that. If you are not spiritual, a love revolution would benefit all of humanity and end many world problems, and cause many to rethink thier positions of negative force. The revolution starts with with leading by example. Loving all people and not being confrontational about issues are two very good starts in the effort of bringing about change. It isespecially a great influence on the youth. Now, morethan ever, there needs to be an end point to all racism, sexism, and other forms of oppression. There must be a day when people must at least make the effort to start new and teach love without prejudice, especially to our children. If all the youth know is love, then they can teach thier children, and so on. Hate is a generational curse in some ways- a sin of our generations passed. If we are all going to the same places when we die, no matter how we believe, why should we hate each other in this life? Can a person learn the meaning of love and respect if they cannot live to see it? Can a person learn the meaning of love and respect if they cannot live properly and without struggle? No. The revolution starts in our daily approach to life. In general, treating others in the way that you want to be treated is a good theory. However, some don't care how they are treated, so in return, they treat others any way that they please, be it bad or good. The key to real love is being cautiously naive, while not judging others. Most people with some form of wisdom know the differences between right and wrong, negativity and positivity, evil and good, however you describe it. And, most people know that the "system" is controlled by negative forces. This "system" is varied, and is overseen by many nations and many wealthy persons whose goal is to bring negativity to the forefront and to eliminate all those who love. Whether it is on your job, at home through your television screen or computer, on the road as you drive, or any other place, the negative forces try to bring you lower and make you feel out of balance. They test our love, and try to make us hate like them. The solution- be blind, love blindly. No matter how much that people criticize you, do not doubt yourself or be angry. No matter who plots against you, love them back- love your enemy. If you have no place to lay your head, be thankful for the air you breathe and the trees that shade you. The love you have within will feed you when you have no physical food. Love is a comforter, but can also be a weapon against negative entities. Love is a guiding light in a universe where darkness is in a state of attack against the light. When hate is acted upon, it deteriorates society. Any form of negative, deviant behavior, including dishonesty, is also a form of hate. Love and hate are not things that are political. Here is a big example of hate and it's affect on society. Money. A common way of purchasing and trading goods in itself is not negative or hateful, but when human minds begin to twist these things into a deviant way to obtain power over others, it becomes an evil system. So, the example in this case would be a metropolitan area. People work to earn money so that they can buy food, clothing, and shelter for themselves. People also have the right to live peacefully without crime in thier neighborhoods. Some people that work in a metropolitan area do not make enough money (hourly or salary) to afford a house or apartment in a neighborhood where they can be safe from crime, because real estate companies charge too much for the "safe" properties in lower crime areas. This alienates those who do not have a college degree and/or those who do not earn enough money. It also forces him or her to live in a bad neighborhood and leads to problems in affordability of safe child care. Most of the time, in a low income situation, a two adult household will need both adults to have an income, which takes away from the natural care of children. Studies show that children who stay at home with a parent until pre-school or kindergarten age are 93 percent more likely to be in the top 5 percent of thier class in academic acheivement. But, of the 93 percent, only 3 percent were in the income ranges of "working poor" or lower class. Has this become a society where the wealthy get better housing, goods, education, health care, and other necessities? Unfortunately, yes. I am lucky, because the area of the country that I live in has low cost of living, and this allows me to live in a decent neighborhood with a very low crime rate in the community. Also, I have a good job for the area that I live in. I live in a rural Southern Illinois community now, but I am originally from Columbus, Ohio, where I grew up in a lower class inner city home. I have witnessed the way that corporations control metropolitan areas. But, this is a global issue. If we would all see the situations, and love one another, we could all live in a lower class neighborhood and be free of crime- if we love one another. People in every community should be thankful for thier lives, love each other, and look out for thier neighbors. With love, even those who are selling drugs will realize that there is a bettery way to live, without the blood money that is drug money. Positivity, if implemented in it's pure form, will conquer all. And I know that mankind alone will not achieve this because of imperfection, but as many who will come can be brought into the light. Money can be a hate motivated tool that is used by negative forces to bring people down. Is it fair for human beings to condemn other human beings for thier actions when the system that raises them up is the same system that divides them and tears them down? The answer is no, it is not fair- it is unjust. But, when a love revolution begins, the hate will be exposed, and a new day will start. Chapter 3- Understanding Our Differences Diversity has always been a controversial topic of discussion. There are so many differences in society between people, places, and things. These differences should be examined and understood. Many times, our differences are exploited by those who hate, and our differences are used against us to try and make us hate each other. The sad thing is that certain branches of mainstream world religions, including Catholicism, Protestant Christianity, and Islamic groups, all have certain beliefs that promote hate and separatist behaviors. Some Christian sects believe in racial segregation, hate toward homosexuals, and many other types of hate. The same with certain Islamic factions, who believe that the caucasian race is evil. All races have good and evil. We are all the same. The air I breathe is the same air you breathe, and the blood I give is the blood that you receive. I understand that in some religious text that it is written that some things are wrong. However, these things should not be forced upon others, but should remain personal convictions and opinions. When these people wrote these documents, it was of their own opinion and their own edicts and they "believed" that the edicts were from God. Not to say that they weren't from God, but if the Creator chooses to speak to you, then he/she/it does so to you individually. Each and every one of us are different in some way. A persons choice of religion, sex, age, color, etc, should not justify passing judgement upon them as one human being to another, unless their behavior in some way causes or produces hate or physical violence toward other human beings. Murder, forceable sexual acts upon others (rape), committing unconsented adultery (where a spouse is unaware and/or in disagreement of the act), physical harrassment and/or mental harrasment, and other types of hateful behaviors, must be healed with love. People are people, and our differences are not wrong individually unless your difference is hate. If you hate, the love must come to you. I love those who hate. If you hate those who hate, what does that make you? You then would be both the same, except that you who hates the hater would be a hypocrite. Love is in us all. As well, we all have the capability to hate. We have the free will to choose what side we want. Some choose negativity more than others. Those who choose love choose life. On the topic of life, people who choose abortion as an alternative should be loved like all others. Those who choose to bring violence and protest against abortion doctors, and people who bring violence and protest against people who have abortions, are full of hate and negativity. If in the end, one finds out that they did wrong, they will face their own consequences. Man is not to judge and make those kinds of judgement decisions. Righteousness is only by God, and man is not God, neither is any temple, church, synagogue, or other place of religion that has been created by man. Man creates these buildings to worship God in, not to somehow proclaim yourselves higher and mightier than other "sinning" human beings. Reacting to violence with violence makes you a hypocrite. I know people who have made decisions (like abortion) that choose not to do so in their own lives anymore, and these people have paid for their decisions naturally by having life threatening medical complications that followed. Me and my wife choose not to have an abortion unless her life is in danger due to child bearing, or if she was raped and impregnated. But, that is our choice, and everyone has the right to choose for their own lives. We can all have different opinions and still love one another. Different doctrines are also a part of the enemy's distractions. Negativity is a part of the enemy's "divide and conquer" plan. We should all have differences, and we should all have our unique beliefs, but love should be the universal law. However, world peace is used as a smokescreen for some who hate. In a political one world society, the elite would get total control of the people of Earth, while at the same time they would suspend freedoms and monitor people's personal decisions. This kind of fascist behavior is of hate. Most who speak of peace in these times have hidden agendas, mostly for personal gain. More than likely, major religions of the world will eventually be subordinate to the United Nations or some charismatic leader, possibly even from our own nation. What we have seen as reality for quite some time, is actually a negative of what we see with our own eyes. As humans, we need to see with our real eyes, and realize the truth, and the truth is love, and love will be the victor. All that is positive is love. There is nothing wrong with anyone's beliefs as long as people remain positive and do not harm others around them, and continue to love one another. I think that the Creator, who/what ever he/she/it is, will not care if one did not know the "true" way, if there is only one way, as long as we all love each other and love the Creator in our own way. However, if you come to know Jesus Christ personally, you will know that He alone is the true way. Chapter 4- Wisdom Without Pride Knowledge does not always mean that wisdom comes with it. There are some very intellegent people who have hardly any wisdom at all. Personally, I have little common sense, so I am clumsy at times. But you can be clumsy and still have wisdom. If you love or have love, you have wisdom. These two go hand in hand. Wisdom without love is to say that rain can be produced without clouds in the air. If the air has an abundance of clouds and moisture, the more abundant the rain will be. If you have knowledge alone, but have no love, then the knowledge is void. When love and knowledge are applied together, the more abundant the wisdom. (Love+Knowledge=Wisdom). The problem is that when people have knowledge and evil minds, the result is the negativity in the world. There are also alot of people who say that they love, but then parade themselves around and puff themselves up with pride. They feel that because they know what love is, that they can tell others who aren't living "their" way how that they should live. That is not love, that is arrogance and pride. Being thankful for what you have is humble, being proud and closed-minded is arrogant and negative. If you have love, it will let you give love and do good works automatically. Forcing charitable works is not out of love, but out of arrogance. Good works without love are void. Good works alone without love can be selfish and self righteous, where you give only to try and ultimately benefit yourself. If you believe in love, you will not think about yourself first, but you will be sincerely concerned of the welfare of others. And, when people are more concerned for the well being of their fellow human kind, then they are allowing love to move in their lives. If there is no love, there is no truth in emotion. Everything is nothing at all without love. With all of the contradiction, confusion, accusation, and deception in society, simply loving each other is the one last real hope of society until the only hope of all conquers all. Will there ever be a moment of tranquil silence for us all? A moment where nothing matters except the loving embrace of one another? Yes. I love you all. Jason M. Dodson Thought this was a good read.
