There is always something magical that happens when you put such high-caliber players together and just let 'em go off. These jams prove that practice DOES make perfect. These four monsters have played either very little or not at all together until this night, but once the mic turned on, F**K ME RUNNIN'!

There is definitely something for every musician in this selection of tracks. A real testament that music can speak for itself without a flashy image or provocative lyrics.

I'm halfway into the second one. I really like this. The mix is DAMN good for live. And Frank... he's aaaight.

I thought about breaking them up into the next three thursdays, but...

after listening to these mp3's, I'll have to re-do them tomorrow. Sounds like the software put some serious distortion in there.

Ok I've at last managed to find time at work to download all these as well as the other songs posted recently and burned them on disc, so I'll check 'em out at home...time for mega catch up!

hmmm where U been hiding this cat? Very nice. Little loungy for my taste but tight and brilliant execution nonetheless.

I know they are long, but this weekly JAM series I used to post here are just for that and are not meant to be polished songs but showcasing good crisp musicianship. (well except when I'm on drums or piano)

You really have to listen to each track all the way through to taste and digest this FUNK. This is fine wine, not coolaid.

Track 02 reminds me of a cross between some of the prince rehearsal stuff and elements "Make my funk the P-funk" live version, but it's great stuff to hold for 15 minutes - must have been great to be in the audience, let alone be playing this!

Track 04's cool. I like Randy's bass work towards the end.

Track 05 - now I'm starting to feel franks geetar...gets freaky around the 7 minute mark, I love it! That organ sound around 9' reminds me of Jaco Pastorius I think. Actually the bass work on 4 does as well. Oh I just noticed the guy uses a fretless as well, go figure!
I lOVE the bit around 12' I think, with the breakdown where the two bass note repeats play off with the drum solos. Great stuff!

Track 06 covers another track...jazz tune? I definitely hear something in there. Anyway, Jackson's work is fantastic, and again the guitar gets great later on.

Track 07 This track gets cut off at 8'35" but from what I've heard it sounds great. The melody reminds me of something I guess.

This band is extremely good, thanks for allowing us to listen to these...great stuff.

p.s what are the hidden songs?
