Selling your CD independently

I'm about to release my solo Cd independently. Anyone had success with this? There are a couple of record stores where I live who sell them for a small commission, and allow you to put up posters in the stores.

Just curious how you have done selling your Cd independently?

Thanks.

Mark

Try cdbaby.com, Amazon. Also, go tohttp://www.homerecording.com/bbs/ and do a search. A lot of the people on these boards can answer your questions if you don't find what you're looking for. But do a search first because the one thing they hate is getting asked the same question 10 times a day.

Yes, my band website is a www.mind-parade.com

I want to get my own site set up though, so I can post more mp3's, sell CD's etc...I'm working on that now.

Yeah,,If you have your own site, when you advertise you can send them there and promote yourself shamelessly with videos, interviews..feature a song of the week. Maybe offer 1 free song to download or heck, charge a couple of bucks to download one of your song from your site. Good Luck!!! Your music is good enough to make it. You just have to get a following. fro
