I'm about to release my solo Cd independently. Anyone had success with this? There are a couple of record stores where I live who sell them for a small commission, and allow you to put up posters in the stores.

Just curious how you have done selling your Cd independently?

Try cdbaby.com, Amazon. Also, go tohttp://www.homerecording.com/bbs/ and do a search. A lot of the people on these boards can answer your questions if you don't find what you're looking for. But do a search first because the one thing they hate is getting asked the same question 10 times a day.

my advice is, dont use mp3.com to sell a CD. they are ok for most things but I got ripped the fuck off by mp3.com. http://www.Cafepress.com are awesome

Maybe offer 1 free song to download or heck, charge a couple of bucks to download one of your song from your site. Good Luck!!! Your music is good enough to make it.
