You're Crazy
HELL. ANYTHING from Appetite. One of the greatest rock records EVER. Period. They had the promise of AC/DC and the Stones combined, and blew it on that double release crap. The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

"I used to lover her, but I had to kill her, she's buried right in my back yard..." One of the funniest songs ever but even funnier because Axl Rose is singing it and you're not sure if he's kidding or not!

Though I can't stand them, the riff to Night Train is really, really cool. I'd pick that one.

One in a Million should be really popular...
"Immigrants and faggots They make no sense to me They come to our country And think they'll do as they please Like start some mini Iran, Or spread some fuckin' disease They talk so many goddamn ways It's all Greek to me"

I Played a load of GnR cover in my first band, and indeed at the first gig i ever did! As Hectim said... "Nightrain"
Appetite certainly was a defining moment in the 80s... lasted right up until "Nevermind" landed. As for coverbands... i do a Sisters Of Mercy Tribute in the uk!!! Bet a lot of people have never heard of them. I tell you, try being a huge Prince fan when you have to play in the European Goth scene!!! lol... very hard work! Moderator | My band used to do covers of their own covers of Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die" along with Bob Dillan's "Knocking On Heaven's Door".
At the time, I thought their versions rocked. I think my favorite is still "Rocket Queen" cause it went all rocked out to kinda "balled-ish". [This message was edited Sun Nov 2 8:48:19 PST 2003 by yamomma] All Rights Reserved. |
