New Song - New to Prince.org Hello everyone. I am new to the org and I have enjoyed the music that I have heard. Lots of talented people here.

The production quality is great.
I would suggest a little more work on the vocals. The bending vocals on "baby" end up flat ... bending a note like that is a challenge - there's no solid note to hit, you just have to feel it... but I would urge you to go back and re-do those parts. Everything goes 2 gether in a nice jazzy blend. Like Otan said, ur vocals needed a little pushing in the stomach (like on What's Love Got 2 Do With It where he pushed her stomach as she sang..lol). Thanks for all of your wonderful feedback. I'd also like to give a shoutout to Cloud9 as he knows me as well. The vocals were done in one take for this song, so I agree that I need to go back and work on those. Again, I certainly appreciate all of the constructive criticism. I am a 30 year old from NC who has been listening to and influenced by Prince for over 18 years now. I've gotta tell you PP4, I've been inspired by all of you guys on here. I really dig your stuff as well as Otan's and Cloud9's. To be honest though, everyone on the org is an inspiration. It's really cool to have so many talented people in a community where everyone is sharing their knowledge and experience. Lonely was written several years ago and I arranged and played most of the music in my home. The vocals were done in one take at a local studio along with alot of other music. Not to bore anyone but that's a little bit about me. I hope everyone keeps the comments coming and I hope everyone keeps producing such original music. Thanks! The Quest | |
