what do you want to do with your music software exactly?
record stuff or make music inside the computer or both? He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. - Albert Einstein | |

Actually, if you go here... http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/ You can search for various different types of progs, and you'll whether they are free or whether you have to bust a crack into the program. try that website and it has a section under 'multitrack recording'. check out the write-ups for the softwares they mention for your particular platform (eg windows xp). there's a lot of choice there. otherwise, do a google search for 'Abode Audition' (formerly called CoolEdit), see if it's what you need then download the demo...once you're fine with the demo, let me know. CoolEdit is cool. And you can edit stuff, but really it's cool for starters. Also referring 2 the talkbox, how would I record this would I need this:

I eat mic myself so maybe one of the other guys here could tell ya whether it's really necessary if you're gonna be speaking down a tube. Essentially all you need is a computer, some software and the right cables to record something. He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Logic.
I know it's Apple based now but 5.5 will last U until mid-end 2004 depending on what U wanna do with it! 'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!
