Live Guitar Tone in detail.

I did a search on google for "Live Guitar" and "Tone" and found the following article from some guy in a band called Anathaenum or something. HEARD of the band, but whatever.

http://www.mikegarrigan.c...ke_048.htm

It's a long read, but well worth the effort, guitar players.

A GREAT summarization is:
If you need to play clean, set your guitar volume knob to "three." If you need to play a crunchy rhythm, set your knob to "seven." If you need to solo, go to "ten." This is how it worked in the 70's and it still works today. Guitar playing is a lot like cooking: you have to use your knobs.

I'll try that crap tonight.

Great passage - I love it! And it's so true...but isn't making love to a woman like cooking too? Or have I mixed that shit up?
