Anyone heard of him?

I'm wondering - how does he get away with making songs full of samples of other folks' music, being indie... cuz it's GOT to cost a fortune to use so many loops in an indie record.

I'm just curious. His jams are fantastic, but it's not much more than Poof Doody's style of taking somebody else's song and singing something new over it.

Isn't he like the younger, blacker version of Weird Al?

Sort of. Except he writes his own stuff, doesn't spoof other people's lyrics. His lyrics are damn funny. And he's known to do shows dancing around in his underwear. And he looks like Ron Jeremy's son, so, it's not a pretty sight.
