Hi, does any1 know of a program that can convert Real Audio music files 2 mp3?. I have some real audio files I can no longer listen 2 as I deleted Real One Player. Can any1 help. Can Windows Media Player convert them?

real audio is designed to be a non piratable format. It cant be converted to mp3 cos then you could burn it onto a CD & bootleg it. There is no software to do it as its not meant to be possible.

You can convert any file into real audio but cant convert it back again.

Also there is the copyright of realaudio technology that means only their real player can play their files.

I think a lot of the sites removed this download for obvious reasons over the last 5 years, but I still have a copy. orgnote me if you want me to send it via email (it's only 114kb).

There are many softwares with similarly obvious names that'll convert between wav and mp3 e.g 'Acoustica MP3 to Wave' (1Mb).

I have just deleted all my Real Audio files as I thought I could not convert them!!!

How do U get back files u have deleted from the recycle bin?. After I read that real audio cannot be converted to mp3 I deleted them so now I want em back!!. Can any1 help, does Undelete (old Ms-Dos program) bring them back???

Don't worry about it!, it was my fault I suppose. I thought I had a load of useless files on my PC which I couldn't listen 2. Anyway does any1 have more details on the ra2wav program, can it convert rm files aswell?

You could also go old skool - play the real audio file and record it using Cool Edit or Soundforge, etc.

RM is the new format of RA so they are technically the same thing. It should work unless the program predates RA being changed to RM
