suggestions for a midi interface

What is the best midi interface for an 8 in and 8 out set up? Midiman? Edirol? Are they all the same or what?

well i'm trying hard as hell is get my midiman hooked up to my mac but it doesn't want to play.
i'm having alot of trouble with it. anyone got any clue to hook this shit up?

Ive tried Edirol but that didnt seem to work. Too much processor power required sad
