hey everybody in purpleville. My name is zach and I'm in a band called burly.

I've been a prince fan since I was 5, and I've seen him play live around 10 times or so. Many at paisley park, which I feel privelaged for. They were great times. I'm heavily influenced by such artists as Fishbone, Ween, Prince, and old school black music.

Anyways, I'm in a band called burly. We are an eclectic mix of many styles of music ranging from blues/funk/punk/hard rock/jazz and many others. We use lots of different instruments in our music such as sax, bass, accordian, aux percussion, keys, guitar.

I know that some of our music will not appeal to many prince fans, but I figured that some may have an appreciation for it.(i hope)

The mp3 site I have posted below will take you to our music. All the tracks were recorded live through a sound board. They sound ok. We just recorded at a highly pro studio and will have some much more pro sounding recordings by mid september.

Check them out and let me know what you all think. I thought it would be interesting to see what fellow prince fams would think. These mp3's are more of our harder side and are almost a year old.

Trapped in a fridge is a trip, I mean I like it but it reminds me of Zappa.

The other songs remind me of Blues Traveler, just the changes and the overall vibe. Then I here Janes Addiction, just very progressive and avant garde.

How does it go over in South Dakota?

It's starting to catch on here in sodak. We've been playing in the bigger surrounding cities and we seem to be catching on there pretty well.
