I'm looking for a good souncard for my computer. Got any tips??? Hi everyone,
Finally I have some money to invest in new equipment again and I'm thinking of buying a new soundcard for my computer. It's not much money, something like 250 euro. Does anyone know a good soundcard for that money or has any other tips concerning soundcards? RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

M-Audio 2496. 2in 2out, 24bit, 96KHZ.
It's USB but what'cha gonna do? I use the discontinued Maxi Studio ISIS by Guillemot with 8ins and 4outs. Still waiting 4 the day I get that MOTU 2496 Mkii! If U got cash, get a Delta 1010 or a MOTU 828. otherwise the M-Audio is a VERY good start. 'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

Dre, that's what I have! I thought I was the only one in the world with that card. Now I have someone I can call if I have any questions! My friend bought it too, but since he couldn't use sound fonts with it he went back to his soundblaster card I think.

I use the M-Audio 2 in, 2 out too and am VERY satisfied with it. Installation was a breeze and it sounds great and never gives me any trouble. Now that's NOT the average situation with soundcards.
