Purple "Synth Horn" sounds New Org member and amatuer keyboar player here.
Wondering if any of y'all have tried to get that purple "horn" sound prince and his 80's era protege's used. For example...on the extended Let's Go Crazy... and even on the album version of Glamorous life...during the instrumental last-half...there is this cool sounding synth horn part. THe Time often used it too. Any hints or suggestions? | |

I don't know. But good luck trying to find out though. The great thing about Prince's work is that he's unique to the core, even down the very sounds of the various instruments being played. Who know's how exactly that sound was created. Knowing Prince, he probably spent all day programing and meshing various sounds to create the unique coloration of the synth horn you're referring to. So I don't think you're going to be able to hit a button on your casio and get the same affect. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
