Damn mp3.com!!!

I'm mad!

I've uploaded three new songs at mp3.com almost 3 weeks ago and they still haven't approved them! The last time they approved the songs within 10 days. Damn suckers!

Anybody else ever experienced long waiting times over there?

MP3.com has become quite the tool and I'm sure swamped with submissions. Let us all know when they're up

Usually takes about 2 weeks to get anything done. Last time I uploaded it took 12 days.

Peace,
Sarah

I finally gave up on MP3. I uploaded some stuff and it took 2 or 3 weeks to post it. I gave up and just put crud up on my site now. But yeah, if you don't have your own space, you may be limited.

Have you tried IUMA.com? I don't even know if they're even around anymore.

lol lol

I set my web site up for $65 a year with a domain name, email and hosting. NetworkSolutions.com is the place. You have to use some template pages and this web utility but its really easy to figure out.

Do we have the space up there? Do you REALLY want to host 300 mp3 files? This thing could really grow over the next 6 months...

You're totally right about MP3.com. It takes them forever to approve stuff! I wish I knew how to have my own page where I could have a bunch of my songs that anyone could come and listen to.

mp3.com stole my money! That was it for me.

I signed up for them & the deal was that they get 4 dollars & I get the rest. Then a few months later they change the deal to they take take 6 dollars & give me 50% of whats left. Shitty deal & it meant I only made a few cents per CD.

Cafepress.com is the way forward

Something reliable will surface...hopefully sooner than later, the need is obvious. If there wasn't so much maintenance involved it could be an attractive business.

But...ain't nuphin'to it but to do it yourself, 'til then.
At least U have a website Lewis...just keep drivin' it.

MP3.com isn't exactly the best place to put your music online, but it's free, and they don't bother you (other than a few annoying popups). I like it. I must admit, it gets frustrating when you have to wait 10-20 days on approval for songs to get online, but at least they do that for free. I don't plan on selling CD's there anyway. I am gonna go the old fashioned route- consignment with stores.

Me

Consignment is leg work - but it works. Now if you were to set up a ditributorship among a group of like-minded peeps, like say NFO, where everybody shipped each other 10 of their finished product (with a little press blurb to go with) to consign in their city's local stow...well, it doesn't sound like much - but over time you could possibly garner interest from other cities.

Oh Oh...I'm fantasising an NFO tour now.
