it's nice... the quality is not bad for cooledit - in fact that's all I use at the moment! I take it you multitracked the live guitars, but what did you use for the beats?

Thanks, well for this one i kept it as drums, bass, and guitars. because i would have a small band when playing this. this is a demo that i would give band members so they can learn their part, cause i record everything.

First: the beat is a loop from a web page, http://www.hgb-leipzig.de/~ajoscht/

The bass came from my keyboard (yamaha DJX) cause my bass is messed up, it was my school teachers bass and she stripped the tross rod so the neck keeps bending, and couldn't find a bass i liked on my midi keyboard (w/e-mu module).

Guitars were from my Gibson, the paul 2. I wish i recorded when i got my new Ibanez Jem7vwh. http://www.vai.com/Machin...ar118.html

and a toneworks processor.

It was just an improv except for the head part. cause i love improving.

This is cool, I like the chord changes alot.
The multiple guitar tracks are also really cool (how you did them).

I'm not typically a fan of Satriani or Vai but I like this.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jem! I like your guitar playing. I can hear the Vai influence, definitely. I haven't kept up with him much since Passion and Warfare, so it was really cool to see his website. Nice home studio! Do you know what program he's using?

Anyway, back to you. Your playing (in my opinion) is like a combo of Prince's tone and Vai's style. Very cool. I dig it.

Very cool and open. Like it bunches.

You need a cowbell up in that joint. And a whistle. And a, amm, uh, somebody saying "whut whut" in there.

Okay. Maybe not. I like it a lot.

Yeah, I was very attached to the chord changes. I actually wrote a song with some of the same changes but with lyrics, maybe i'll have that for ya some day.

Vai is just simple the most amazing guitar player i have seen. There are people who are faster, more technical, etc.. But Vai is just so comfortable with the instrument.

As I listen again, I still Like it, some of the tapping is sloppy but WTF. I try not to overdo that anymore.
Now I have a Jem guitar so I do it even more lol

The guitar tracks are just over dubbing thats all, on cool edit pro. (I like magix software, but it broke down taking 50 song ideas, something like that).

Hopefully I'll get my new band going so i can get some funky shit to u all.
