LM1 Drum Machine

Hi, anybody knows where one can get free samples of the LM1 Drum Machine which P used in the 80s?
I mean samples to use in music software such as fruity loops or reason.

Yes. Do a search for LINN, and WAV. The first three returns usually have links to them.

This one has TONS of drumkits:

Thanks a lot, excellent links, although the linn machines listed there are not the lm1. There were basically 3 linn models in the 80s, the linndrum, the lm1, the linn 9000.
Can't find the lm1 anywhere.

My point tho, was, do a search in Google. I found those two links within the first 5 sites returned when I did a search for "Linn Drum" and WAV. I'm sure if you added LM1, you'd find what you're looking for.

In Cakewalk you can go to the insert menu and insert a wave file. Not sure about Sonar, but it's the next step up from Cakewalk, right? People keep telling me to upgrade but I will once my first cd is done.

I own a LINNDRUM, & have samples for the Lm1...they sound identical, either that our the person labeled them incorrectly.

I must say that the LINNDRUM is a awesome drum machine.

Its the best drum machine. Its my baby, my drummer gets some Bobby Z. action going when we play live (I have some triggers hooked up) But my drummer only uses them as complimentary sounds...mostly the hand clap, stick, & toms.
It has a output for each individual sound (which is fun: you can do the prince or Kate Bush & run some sounds with effects & other not). Sometimes my Bass Player/engineer & i sit in the studio for hours just re-creating Prince programms/patterns (luxury of having your own studio). It really is great, I don't use it as much as I want to.

Hey! I"m new to Princ.org...but am excited cuz I just won a Linn Drum on ebay!! I'm planning to buy the LM-1 chips for it cuz the snares a bit different. I'm pretty sure Prince used lm-1 and Sheila used LinnDrum (the 2nd version).

I heard though that you can't tune the sidestick and snares separately.

Oh man that sucks. Another reason I avoid macs. But hey - no offense they're great machines.

If you send me 3 CD-R's and some money for the costs of transport, I'll copy the program for you. I've got the latest version and it kick ass!
