Featured Artist!

Ok, some of you have seen my previous work at the streetpainting festival we have here in South Florida.

Tomorrow however, I've been hired to do one at a neighboring town 30 miles west, who would like to introduce this annual festival to their town.

Out of about 200 artists, only three were picked. I was one of them.

This is cool, because I usually don't get paid for this sort of stuff.

Only thing different is that I have to do a re-production of an Italian renaissance painting because that's the origin of street painting and they want this to go over well with the town commissioniors.

Long ago, Italian artists used to paint in front of the churches when they had no money to give.

This is what I will do tomorrow, but at 6 X 8 feet!

What does this have to do with music?
The streetpainting festival is when I came up with the NFO cover.

Wish me luck!

It was friggin' awesome to get paid for this! 400 bucks for a half days work ain't bad!

now if I could do this all the time...

na.. too hard on the lower back!

not to mention my fingers get worked to the bone. (well, several layers of skin, anyway)

This was the best time yet!

They treated us like gold, bringing us drinks and food all day, and gave us a tent with fans!

That never happened before.

I was told I made the paper out there, I'll have to drive back out there and pick up a copy.

Kelly that was awesome. The star treatment is fairly earned in your case. Now if only they had a drumkit there for you to work the back loose...

I'm not sure that would work, cause I hunch over my set too.

Do like me - hire strippers to hold you up while you play drums. Great for the lower lumbar support.

I don't really paint much since school.

This festival is once a year and we do it in chalk.
