What does that equate in American dollars? That is very cheap. And, since I don't work with midi, that would be real nice for me!

He asked for advice, and apparently, nobody replied? Who knows. My weekend was so packed, I didn't have time to SLEEP much less do anything else.
But hopefully the guy will come back and ask for advice again... we don't bite, we just LOOK mean. EDIT: OR, from looking at JDodson's response, What does that equate in American dollars? That is very cheap. And, since I don't work with midi, that would be real nice for me! he was asking about a purty brazillian dress he bought on ebay?[This message was edited Mon Jun 30 16:13:56 PDT 2003 by otan] The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

He was biding on a Linn on ebay. I guess he expected tons of responses within 24 hours.
As us regulars here know, things don't happen that fast here, especially on the weekends.

Shame that, discussion was cooking a month ago

He asked about this Linn Drum Machine, I replied about the price of it, I didn't know any details about it because I never had one. And, I have been looking for one too. Prince related websites are not exactly full ALL the time, so people need to realize that traffic will be low, and the responses might be low as well.

Well just to clear up the confusion I didn't edit my post due to any lack of replies. I was asking about a Linn Drum I might buy and how to use midi, yet from the first 3 replies I got it sounded like instead of information or discussion, I was going to get a load of people trying to outbid me, so I took how I read Vibrator's comment and edited the post...
Was already pissed off (as I originally explained in my now edited first post) as my band had split up and I was asking advice on starting my planned solo project. Thanks anyway, Mark

Thanks anyway, Mark Next time just ask about the product and don't mention ebay. That's what I would do. You gotta know people on a Prince site would drool over a Linn. I think the first people that responded didn't have the knowledge you were seeking. I think FlyingCloudPassenger has lots of Linn knowledge. He's an electronic drummer. http://www.prince.org/pro...dPassenger [This message was edited Tue Jul 1 10:12:38 PDT 2003 by VinaBlue]

Sorry Mark, I would have never outbid you. I don't have the money right now even if I did want it.
Your friend, JD | |

Your friend, JD Well thanks for clearing that up i guess i just read your post in the wrong way! Sorry man. Anyway the thing went for £360 and I couldn't afford to bid any higher so I'll have to wait a while to save up for one now if they're going at that price! thanks, Mark
