cant keep up with the NFO It's startin 2 get 2 big. I feel overwhelmed by media and stuff like that. But in the same sense it is good because now everyone gets 2 comment and articulate and speak about our music. Maybe i cant belive all this is happening like this. Very unexpected... What are you talking about? There's a few press releases, JD got the article in the magazine in his neighborhood, and papercrayon got the board up at the tv show.

Paisley, don't worry about it, man. It's really not that big. Think of it this way, your music was available for the whole world to see anyway on mp3.com, and now you're just getting more publicity. Are you overwhelmed by being asked to submit press releases? Because you know, you don't have to do anything you don't feel comfortable doing. There are MANY people who just submited a track and were never heard from again...

Hey, I don't mean to blow the wind outta your sails...but...it sure isn't what it could be. A few press releases...oh-kaaay...and maybe you should be thankful that it's only a few...cause that website isn't going to light a fire under any reporters ass. I know NFO's given it his best shot and I'm sure other priorities bind him...but there were offers in the beginning for a full fledged site. This site looks and feels like it's been DE-FUNKED.
A'ight...ya can all flame me now. [This message was edited Thu Jun 19 16:47:55 PDT 2003 by Red]

Yeah man, the otan & bigthing are right. If your overwhelmed by this small amount of publicity, wait till things really get going. Dont be afraid of big publicity, I dont remember any one saying that was a bad thing . None of us got into music with the intention to just sit & listen in their bedroom, deep down, we all wanna be mega stars like Prince & the NFO is a good way to get there & its great for us to work collectivly on the promotion of a project, it'll be bigger than we imagine if we all pool our resources [This message was edited Thu Jun 19 18:48:10 PDT 2003 by cloud9mission]

Imagine what it's like for Prince or any other artist - they write the song, then spend 4 months in the studio recording it, then 2 months polishing it, and then mastering, etc. SO, up to a year after you wrote the song, you're now rehearsing with a band to play the same old stuff, and nobody's even heard it yet. So, a year and a half after you wrote the song and recorded the rough demo, you're on the road playing it to people for the first time. You're sick of it, and people are going crazy for this new stuff, and you're thinking, "i've got four more albums in the can." It's GOTTA be frustrating. Especially if they keep screaming "hey - play that song - that one that I know - PURPLE RAIN!!!" He's gotta hate that song now... or just consider it like an old aunt that shows up to reunions and always asks about your football team. The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

NFO & I have talked via orgnotes about this & its all cool. Lets see what hes got, theres been setbacks with the server as we all know & the new site tht I know NFO is very excited about may have to wait a while. I have every faith he'll surprise us again with a fully fleged wonder site as soon as the other sites he maintains are back online after the server problems. I offer any help he needs & Im sure the other webdesigners here (Vina, Bigthing, Otan etc) will do the same . All sites start somewhere, remember the old org site, thats come a long way since then & so will ours. Ive been spreading the word around musicians forums as I figured it would be cool to have more people involved in project 2. Ive already had a couple of peeps email me about contributing a track
