Ive managed to get us linked up on most of the prince sites & a few other funk sites, we have our yahoo group & I believe Vina was saying about an MSN comunity, Im gonna link to all the artists & the NFO sites from cloud9mission.com but I could use a few descriptions like the ones on my link page.

But whats happeneing about the official site, hows that coming? Hows plans for project 2 & further promotions?

where is everybody?

Being married, employed and parenting, my creativity comes in spurts, and THEN it's reigned in until the wife is happy, the boy is asleep and the man has his 40 hours.

Needless to say, I've got LOTS of material up in the cupboard, but just not enough time to make a full meal - I been whupping up nuttin but sammiches lately... little sampler platter here, adding some a little coolwhip to a biscuit over there...

(okay, yeah, that's a mind-boggling metaphor that just kind of swan-dove into nonsense. Gimme a break, I entertained the inlaws AGAIN this WEEKEND. will it ever end?)

BUT the good news, I finally got the drumkit and I'll be putting together my new stuff this week. Taking a day OFF from WORK to get it done! Shock, horror, aghast, and more shock.

I'm sending out an email to everyone I know about my new track, which is only available on the nfo site. So more people will be checking the site out.

Well, I am pretty much co-signing the otan post also. I have been working, being with family, eating, sleeping (for about 4 hours a night if I am lucky), and when I get a little bit of time squeezed in there, I am recording music. I have 4 songs complete for the new CD and 4 more that just need vocals. But, at this pace, I don't know if I am going to make the 7/4 release date. But, I won't miss it by much- maybe 2 weeks at the most.

Paisley - I'll tell you what gets you going again - one of two things - a new CD with completely unusual music on it, or a new instrument that you've never played, even a harmonica or a cowbell will make your brain work outside of it's usual creative comfort-zone. Same with a CD of hindu opera or eskimo mating music - SOMETHING that forces your brain to focus on it, dissect it, hear things it's not used to hearing...

I'm telling you - I'll put it on the hindu station here and WOW my mind boggles at songs I'd never thought of doing - chord progressions, topics, singing, all sorts of things that go WAY WAY outside of my Prince comfort zone.

Good luck man. I know where you are right now - don't get down on yourself (although, if you really COULD do that, would you ever do anything else?).. ANYHOW. Don't worry - your creativity will return, you just need to give it a push.
