Nice and mellow funky! It sounds like Chocolate City era Parliament mixed with the laid back R&B of the early-mid 80's SOS Band.

I mean, the loop sounds cool but to be dead honest its just 2 variations of the same loop stretched to 6 minutes.
Not saying it aint funky or sumfin but man it's just too long and not more than an idea sketch really.

Lewis...gotta agree with Bart on this one. Nice flow...but mmm how shall I say it...there's definitely joy in repetition here. Maybe the intro's a little long, but then a bed track is a bed track.

I always post a track up with room for improovment. Ive been listening to this track over & over whilst recording for the last week now so I cannot hear it with fresh ears anymore. But ya'll can, cheers for the tips guys. I'll post an updated version tonight

Love it and I can't wait to hear the finished version. While the beginning sounds like a loop, is it? I thought a heard a slight variation, then the break is fonky!

You know, you, DreZone and Slave2daGroove are really pissing me off. I love it. That Parliament comparison is right! The only thing missing are the Horny Horns.

IN MY OPINION...
It's groovy, but sounds busy... like you're trying to showcase your talents on each instrument, as much as possible, at every step of the song. It could well be just the sample you put up tho. Maybe it's the mix - the wah guitar is really in the front of the mix, but the bass is doing so much and the treble is high as well, so the two instruments are fighting for the same space, sonically... then there's the layered keys as well - it's all taking up the same space...

TRY:
-rolling the treble way back on the bass to see what kinda low thumping might fill the bottom more, occupy the mid/high less.

Ability-wise, it's awesome, but it's a bit much going on all at once...

BUT THEN AGAIN,
I can totally hear this loop going through a porn scene. Um. Not that I've ever watched one of those filthy things...
