A Message Regarding "Spam" And It's Relation To Promotion. I am not going to step on any toes. However, I want to make perfectly clear that there is a fine line between "spam" and simple gestures of promotion and invitation.
1. If someone emails you a link offering to join a club, and you do not want to join, simply delete the e-mail and advise the person in question that you do not wish to join, and to stop sending you e-mail. There is no need to accuse someone of spamming unless they are sending you multiple e-mails over and over again. 2. If someone is spamming a club regarding the New Funk Order, then I will be the first one to say that I CONDEMN the behavior. NO ONE is to tarnish the name of a project that is meant for complete good. I have never pressed the issue until now, but the intellectual right to the New Funk Order idea belongs to me, and I do not wish to have it tarnished or amended in any way without full agreement from everyone in the project. So, have we got this straight? NO ACCUSING UNLESS TRUE, NO SPAMMING. End of list. JD

Ive done my research & as long as its within the guidlines of yahoo group usage, its not spam. The guidlines are that you should not send multiple emails or automatically subscribe someone without permission, inviting is ok & yahoo accept resposibility. Ive known rio for a while now & joined his group & checked him out, only thought he might like to join mine & reciprocate (spelling?) As for the invite ting on the NFO group, I only encourage people to invite their friends but leave other webusers to subscribe via the new website [This message was edited Mon May 19 6:54:37 PDT 2003 by cloud9mission]

I don't think you're a bad guy, rio. I totally understand what you're saying and I don't think impersonal invitations should be anybody's practice.
And now that I think about it, I think I will change my settings on your yahoo group. I'd like to hear what you've been up to lately.

Obviously, Yahoo! groups is very faulty, and/or a person who is sending multiple invites. So, like you and Vina said, there is no need for spam, ESPECIALLY having to do with an organization and idea that I created, so please, no multiple e-mail invites on "New Funk Order" related sites please. Thanks, Jason
