New tracks... - updated

+ or - Feedback is always welcome.

Just added "Jordan Alexa"... I ummm "borrowed" a piano piece Prince was playing in Under the Cherry Moon...which I believe is a piano version of Alexa De Paris.

Oh shit yea I been waiting for this.

Groove Simplistic
A "Maybe Your Baby" inspired groove... deep, slow and infectious. I'm still puzzled how/where you find these tones... the guitar is a wah with a flange? Maybe? The keys are fender-rhodes sounding, through a tremolo? This is SOOO 1974, except for the drum machine, which pumps it up to 1982 - as if Kraftwerk hooked up with Stevie Wonder.

As usual, the song begs to have more - vocals, a solo, voice-over from a blaxploitation flick, SOMETHING... in it's current state, it makes for fantastic background music.

CG - step up to the mic. Let it go.

Everything you guessed is correct except the drums...it's actually a Remy Shand sample (The intro to Looking Back On Vanity) I just added a kick and a handclap. One of these ol' mornings I will get a digital multitracker...

Dude I wouldn't change a thing if I were you - you're on a roll with however it is that you do your thing. Changing tools changes the music. I went over to the Midi side, and my music took a nose dive, just cuz it's not the way I've recorded all these years... and I just can't take 2 years to learn a new way to record. So, yeah, the keys in my songs will continue to sounds like chopsticks, but the songs will thrive. If I stuck to midi, the keys would sound good, but the rest of the song would pee rasberry lemonade.

ChickenGrease-

I love this stuff and I agree with Beau.

"Groove" needs some low vocals talkin in parts and maybe even a chorus of gospel singers.

You're awesome! Keep it up!

Your NFO track has some skipping at the begginning. Do you have an updated version of this song or was the skipping intended?

Thanks!
