I had been out all night drinking and carry on with the boys

over at The Corner Pocket, down in the quarter.

That night though, I was tired. It had been a long day. A double shift.

I didn't. hang too long, it was time to go. So I said my good byes, in Irish and I was out the door, quietly. I hopped in my ride, Southern Accent, and headed back up to The House of Big Dreams.

I made it home safely. It was late, but still early, almost 2 is late, but in the house of big dreams that's early. 7 am is late. LOL

As I entered thee house, down the hall, Bear, came strolling out of my room.

Hey Boy!

Bear being so coy, yet getting his point across with his side eye, "Where you been?"

Bear! Come here boy! Come on!

Bear was a different kind of Cat, He had sass.

"NO." he would say, with a purrrr and with a swish of his tail he would remind me,

"you are going in only one direction and it's this way. U come to me."

yep, it was true. There was only one way to my bed and he was standing right in the middle of it.

He won again.

I found my way to him and down on my knees giving him all the love i had. His purrs would give away

how much he loved me petting him.

Bear, boy. I love you, boy. Always keeping it real.

Now get out the way i'm done, boy. I got just enough energy to make it to the bed.

and that i did.

I passed out.

Not long after I was awaken by the sudden move in the bed. It was Bear. He jumped up on it and was looking for a spot to lay down. This time it was different. He usually lays at my feet but tonight he was all cuddled up next to me.

Took me by surprise at first but then I realized it was just Bear. We were laying face to face. I just laid there looking at him. Petting him. and I said to him. You know Bear you are the coolest Kat I have ever known, boy. That's right Bear, it's you. The coolest Kat I've ever know and believe me boy, I known and seen a lot of Kats in my time. I'm 106 years old boy.

You and me, Bear, Until the end.

Until the end boy.

Bear liked when I talked to him and when ever I would be working on music, he would always be in the room. He was apart of the Vibe.

Hey S2DG.... It's nice to see you around as well.

In a strange twist of events I have landed out here in the desert. I decided to stay a bit and do some work. The follow up to 85918's Transmissions, Writing and on myself. I have a new cast of characters to inspire me and some very beautifuil scenery to add to the vibe.

I must admit that the cell service and wifi are not predictable so I will hop on when I can and share some new works with you.

More Desert Dreams coming...

Hi!

So I have been working on the new 85918 album, while out here in the desert.

The DownLoad Society wanted to know the title of the project and I told them it will be called

"Desert Dreams"

I have the first single ready to drop, release date is being kept a secret for now, but for ya'll here interested, I have made a website where I will be putting up some of the tracks as they are finished.

The first single to be release is titled "It's Yours" it's official release date is ....... It's the day I leave the desert and head to Minneapolis to work on a film. I got casted.

In the mean time i have been doing some photography while here and like I mentioned above working on Desert Dreams. So as usual I will be flooded this thread with more of my art work.

When I first arrived in the desert, my host told me about this idea he had about doing a series of short films, about this spot he created. He had the idea and concept but didn't really know how to make it. He didn't have the techincal skills to put it all together.

He said to me, "Dr. J" that what he calls me when we are just chilling, "I know you have experience is this field, I'd like to hear your ideas. How would you pull off this dream, FirstBorn?"

I took a sip of my drink, a gin and tonic, and thought for a moment. I realized that this was the beginning of Desert Dreams. Sat back in my chair and told him that I could see his vision, I could see it, at least the first episode, but in order to make this happen we need a few things.

He was intrigued, I had his attention. "ok, what that's? What do we need." he asked.

"Ok, first we need a script. a schedule, deadlines and a budget." I laid out.

He gasp just a bit when I said a budget. Knowing where this was going I said to him, sarcastically, "cuff links like this cost money".

and to my surprise he instintly responded, "Yeeeesssss"

Now I knew he was a fan and admirer of the funk, but it was this moment i realized, he was one of us.

No matter what, we had to make this happen.

We had 1 month, with no script, and no budget. Just a dream.

working in the desert is so different than the other places I have worked in. It's very sparse when it comes to inspiration. New York, Minneapolis and New Orleans there was inspiration everywhere, sometimes.... discuised as distractions. Out here though, it's pretty quite. Just me and my mind.

There are plants, lights and thangs (in my M.D. voice) but nothing sexy. I've lived a pretty wild life, I've seen sexy before. Shoot but out here, don't get me wrong it's beautiful, very beautiful. But i haven't had that ohhhh lawd moment.

The animals talk to me out here. The Donkey Kongs, Big Birds, Butterballs and Side Eye Gobblers and I, we have this understanding. I am surrounded by doves. Hundreds if the within a days cycle. They sing in the morning and at dusk as well. They feed just outside my window.

At night I like to look up at the stars while having a lucky strike. So many lights in the sky at night. My favorite time to look up is around 3 a.m. That's when The Milky Ways passes over. It's really magical to witness. Sometimes I hear the cyotes howling off in the distance. If they get close the other animals join in. The Donkey Kongs are the loudest. HHHHEEEEEEEEE AAAAAAAAA at 3 a.m. is quite halirious to me. I like the Donkey Kongs.

Anyways I share this thought pattern with you because I have this track and i want to write to it and perform it with justice. The expression needs to be felt. But what do I want to say, that is the wall i have to climb.

feeling as though I am standing outside the land of Paisley, seperated by a wall, that is in truth, invisible like water. by the way.... It's hot here and I'm thirsty.
