it's Mardi Gras season here in New Orleans

and the party vibe is all over the city.

Meanwhile at Ms. Shirleys the new cast and crew has been assembled.

I live with an artist. She is always creating something and it's very inspiring. She creates these comics

and I was featured in the last one. They are funny.

I hooked up with Bomb's Ex-Lover on a shoot.

This is Tony. He is also a member of our team. He is pretty awesome.

He is the one I told you about, who rides motorcycles, works on tamahawks and is going to school.

He is pretty interesting. He wants to be a pilot who flys helicopters.

He's is a pretty boy who doesn't like to have his picture taken.

We hung out yesterday and I finally got a chance to photograph him.

He is into photography so I taught him a few things while we were spending

a couple of hours together.

I have been working on a concert film for Bomb's Ex-Lover. I shot it last Thursday using 4 camera's

The same way I shot The Revolution at 1st ave for the reunion show, but this time I only had one

assistant. It was a pretty gruelsome shot but I got it.

I also had the oppurtunity of shooting this band called Silk & Morter for one of the balls here, during Mardi Gras.

There show was amazing. I am friends with the lead singer and she is great. She kinda reminds me of DONNA.

She plays bass, rocks the guitar and also plays percussion in Bomb's Ex-Lover. We I first met her

I told her she reminds me of Donna Grantis because she has her hair shaved like Donna did and she is a beast

on her instrument. She didn't know who Donna was so I had to show her some Donna moments. She is now

a new Donna Grantis fan. I told her to look up Sheila E as well, because she plays percussion.

It's great being around Musicians and Bands again. It reminds me of my days in New York City.

in the meantime I have managed to go to a couple of parades

here during Mardi Gras.

This parade took place at Dawn by the Mississippi River

and was called Eos Parade.

I haven't been partisipating in as much activities as my house mate

because it seems to me that a lot of these events are rituals,

and I am a bit selective with what I give my energy too.

I went to this one because it reminded me of a fellow orger here

EOS Goddess of the Dawn.

today I am going to actually be in a parade that my house mate organized.

It's a boat parade and well will be on the river for hours....

in the mean time I didn't that interview for the podcast, I was telling you about, yesterday.

It was a wierd experience, being i talked about some of my experiences, yada yada yada.

it was fun thought and the host was super nice and fun. I'll post the link when it goes live.

Today is the last day of Mardi Gras!

This images was captured during Fat Tuesday, the last day of Mardi Gras.

It was an overall amazing experience considering it was my first Mardi Gras.

The other day at work i was busting my ass off doing what ever i can

to help everyone out and Ms. Shirley was watching.

at the end of the shift she said to the other servers,

"you need to more like him..."

and I was like "oh nooooooo, Ms. Shirley"

she said "no you work hard and you are a good person

you look out for everyone, you are nice to the guest"

she didn't realize how much the others would have

distain for me.

I was right today none of the other servers would talk to me.

it made me kind of sad not because they were giving me the

silent treatment, it's because again I felt like the outsider.

being the outsider sometimes sucks.

But tomorrow is a new day and a new oppurtunity.

I had been wanting to photograph this guy for a long time.

his favorite tag line is "I don't Care."

which always preplexes me because if you don't care

why do you try so hard.

Just a thought.

I think he photographs really well

meanwhile, The DownLoad Society says it's almost time to go back into the studio.... I need to start on some new sketches.
