My poem about prince I wrote when he died Woke up to a purple sky
Singing along to when doves cry Batman flies A generation died What is this pop life? Where are the b-sides? Just the music Left behind 45s with an 8 track mind Never leave my side It’s a sign of the times Memories of mine Don’t you know We’ll never let you go Clap your hands to the Greatest romance Of entertaining fans Piano with a mic He slayed it, he played it Critics call it a comeback Never left no I wont take that Cymbals with the hi hats As he’s jamming with the band It’s a sign of the times Memories of mine Don’t you know We’ll never let you go It’s a gold experience With every song and dance Like diamonds and pearls Together, one Ifs a sign of the times Memories of mine Don’t you know I’ll never let you go It’s a sign of the times Memories divine Don’t forget it Don’t regret it Cause the beat lives on and on It’s a sign of the times Memories of mine Don’t you know We’ll never let them go It’s a sign of the times Memories divine Don’t forget it Don’t regret it Cause the beat lives on and on [Edited 9/22/21 10:09am] | |
