where's YOUR freaking podcast???

exactly.

if you were actually hearing crickets now you'd actually be hearing MY podcast but that's alright

maybe you need to see AND hear it

or don't

1) I'm busy right now.

2) Still busy.

3) Writing - at least I can show I'm doing that.

4) Not going to discuss equipment that I am stressed over the roof that its being covered by

5) Techiques - why don't you tell ME my techniques

6) a: Creates plan; Follows plan; Still too broke to activate next phase of plan

b: Practices plan over and over and over; become inspired to continue plan

c: Stays inspired to continue plan

d: Makes too many plans

e: Steps back from plan

f:

There. It's not dead anymore.

This is the org in a nutshell ... Prince fans bashing other Prince fans that promote his music. It is really sad to read.

I agree, so much hate and anger. Notice how those channels never mention it and if they do its negative. You know something is up when many fans will say they don't know what the org is, are put off or mention being banned.

.

I think some orgers could learn some civilty and manners. I started here trying to be nice and positive, but have been beaten down by the haters and the wreckers. The worst are the "music snobs" who seem to have lived inside Prince's brain or synthesiser all this time and seem to know every single thing about his music and yet if anyone not on the Sheldon Cooper level is instantly lambasted for being a phoney or feeble minded.

.

You orgers know who you are. Then there is the "I wanna do him" crowd - who seem to think Prince was their man (Not always orgers of the female gender - but mostly) and will fight all comers to saying he is either desirable or not desirable (As they insulting their man).

.

This is the fan part of the org, I mention some video channels and are greated by hate about how they have superficial knowledge and everything else, and their knowledge is surface by someone who expects the inner core of knowledge all the time.

.

This is my last bitchy post, from now on I am going to love all my enemies until the mirror falls off the wall. Love is infectious, hate is sad.

I got plenty good loving for ya baby

well I for one think its a crying shame its finished. Although I thought they could have gone out on reviewing Sign of the times vault tracks or something. Go out with a goodbye.

A lot of P&B fans (myself included) were upset they didn't do one final podcast reviewing Sign O' The Times SDE, believing that would have been an amazing way to end their podcast. But on further reflection...

Perhaps it was the thought ot reviewing SOTT SDE that made them quit? People have suggested they were growing tired of all of the time and effort that went into putting a podcast together. Wtih a set as massive as SOTT SDE, the amount of time necessary would have been multiplied many times over. It's possible one or more P&B members looked at SOTT SDE's long playlist and said: "There's no possible way I can do this. It would be way too time consuming."

No The fact is I'd rather be dancing along with the show/movie/video/whatever because that's all I've ever done. I mean I could make that my podcast would y'all subscribe to that? That's all I used to do in my living room, put on my own version of the show and then it carried on into the club and then it didn't. And here we all are folks, the dream we all dream of!
I declared what I wanted to do in life early on. And I still do that either in my imagination or on the planning stage. I didn't get to see the musical movies on the big screen until around 2013. That was great!

I'm not interested in any of the channels you mention because they don't do the same thing P&B did. It's not about who has more knowledgle (P&B versus the other podcast) -- rather, it's about the focus and content of their shows. As I mentioned in the former thread on this topic, I have zero interest in discussions aabout Prince's personal life, his fashion, his religous views, his cultural impact, etc. *All* I'm interested in are in-depth analysis of songs.

That's what P&B did: they would take apart songs, analyzing the instrumentation and arrangements in detail. It was like listening to a football coach go into hyper detail about the Xs and Os of a game. Their podcast was about the nuts-and-bolts of the music, period.

To be clear, I'm not saying P&B knew more about Prince or had more valid opions about the music (in fact, I often thought some of the stuff they said missed the mark). What I am saying is that they are the only podcast that took this hyper detailed, hyper focused approach to the songs. Other podcast may analyze the music (and in fact, their analysis might even be better), but those analyses aren't as deep or focused.

can someone give out the link to the PB&J podcast already?
This is the epitome of the downside of the music business.

(inserts soundbyte of that tongue click sound thingy Prince used to make.... you know the one I'm talking about) if you don't know please ask

.

It's one reason among others. Reading Captain/Player's Twitter feeds and listening to some of the episodes from their new podcast (which I've stopped listening to, because it's not about Prince and I don't really care about their personal life and/or opinion about other things), it's pretty clear that they're really upset/bitter about 1) how they were treated/insulted by part of the "Prince community" (I don't know who exactly) 2) the lack of recognition for their work 3) the lack of engagement from their listeners 4) the Estate 5) probably other things.

.

I'm not saying they're right to feel that way (they're not, IMO), but those are the reasons they've given (in a more or less bitter way).

You know what would be really fun is giving a link or links to past episodes so we can stop being about things we think we were or weren't about while simultaneously talking about repping said thing.
