I must be crazy submitting my song for critique on this posting board (see the post "the band barbarasteele").

Chops wise you guys are all pretty good, but everything sounds so Princey, everyone sounds the same...Is that just because we're on a prince newsgroup-so thats the only songs your displaying for us 2 hear. If so, cut it out i want to hear some new stuff, i could listen to Prince for what most of you guys are doing...

Let me here something not so Princey...I realize know how much I put my neck out there-because I love Prince-Prince inspired me 2 play/write/record music, but the biggest thing I pulled from Prince was trying to have my own sound...I want to hear what else u guys got.

My band doesn't sound like Prince, even tought he is my fav artist/band. i will ckeck your stuff now. But everything sounds like something, and it's obvious that on Prince.org folks will have lots of influence from Prince funk and r&b. THat's teh reason.

I don't think your music sounds like Prince, except for the drum beats that reminds me a little of Prince, and the way you sing sometimes.
