Brother, I totally would if I could, but I am not a fan of UTCM. It lacks tension, so you HAVE to be a fan to enjoy it.

I've always admired and envied your talent.

I am curious to see UTCM in colour to see if it actually changes to tone of the movie.


I do love the fact Prince chose B&W for the film. A bold move for that period of time.

Ha, i didn't see these replies. Well I ended up joking around a lot. I also mentioned the whole rumor of Prince asking Martin Scorsese to direct his next film, and then hiring Michael Ballhause (a scorsese DP) as his director of photography. I also mentioned to my cohost (who hated Under the Cherry Moon after liking the beginning) that at the very NYU film school he had attended, none other than Mary Lambert was teaching, whom he had met. I even pointed out her office door when we walked by it one day, when I spent a day at school with him. But that was before he even knew that the movie existed.

Both he and someone else watching for the first time hated any kissing scenes with Prince. But that's a common note even here on the org.
