Prince Radio show support. Dear org members. Could do with a little support. My friend has asked me to compile a list of musician's who have been strongly influenced by Prince. We are going to play the music on my friends online Radio station with a little information on each artist. Just a bit of fun. Secondly artists/bands that Prince enjoys listening. I have gained info from WNPG playlist in One Night alone tour booklet and the WNPG Radio shows and New Girl spotify playlist.
Just so I'm not so far off the mark!! Obvious examples in no particular order . D'angelo,Lizzo, Wendy and Lisa, Field Music, Meshelle Ndegeocello, Janelle Monae. Thanks for your support orgers [Edited 8/29/19 1:14am]

The-Dream's "Purple Kisses" is pure Prince wannabe. Beck admitted "Debra" is his Prince impression. That whole Andre 3000 Love Below record was Princified, I'd go "She Lives in My Lap" for the Camille voice effect jacking. J.T.'s entire career. Or take it all the way back to "Oh Sheila," the o.g. Prince rip-off.

OK Go. Their album Of the Blue Colour of the Sky was inspired, in part, by Purple Rain. (Look at WTF and White Knuckles, in particular.)
Also... D'Angelo. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Lianne La Havas - Prince's influence is all over her Blood album Cee-Lo Green - Living Again has liberal Prince and The Time references Eric Clapton - He said he wrote "Holy Mother" immediately after seeing Purple Rain. Lenny Kravitz - duh
