Program: A Story in 4 Parts Welcome: Host and moderator, Michael Dean of The Prince Podcast, and Dr. Elliott Powell from the University of Minnesota, co-organizer of the 2018 Prince from Minneapolis symposium, will open the program. Prince and Minneapolis: Discover Prince's North Minneapolis with a presentation by independent historian Kristen Zschomler and a moderated conversation with cousins Chazz Smith, Shantel Manderville and Frank Collier, and early musical mentors Pepe Willie and Spike Moss. Prince, The Influencer: Through a live video feed from the UK, scholar Dr. Kirsty Fairclough, BBC radio presenter and producer Karen Gabay, and music manager Hayley Drinkall will connect with the audience about Prince's influence on popular culture and their work.
