The UNICORN lives yes yes

I would like to say that it has been a pleasure being in service to the members of this community.

I have tried to the fullest of my being to express to you all the truth, in code

my experience as a member of this community, while existing within the world

outside this community.

in doing so I have found my way, believe it or not

crossing universes and making my dream a reality, given birth.
in my reality, all things are possible.
and with that..

I am...

Taken with Prince

within This LoveLetter.

loveandkindness,

The Unicorn

Wow, I loved it. Camera work, special FX, just the whole thing from beginning to end.

I know how much work went into that, great work by all involved.

Please do more of these and thanks for the experience!

This is something I did a few years back.

It was a film challenge that had to have 23 random things in the movie and be completed in 48 hours. It has some rough spots but I managed to get it done in time.

Think it was a little too dark for the audience based on the reaction in the theatre, lol!

I had the idea and me and my friend (the main actor) wrote the voice over. I was able to sleep the first night but I worked through the nght on the second day. I knew what I wanted to do and had the location but getting power there and the logistics were another challenge. Also did a music video for my band but that's another story...

sounds like you have the makings of a great producer. I like producing. You start off with an idea and if you are lucky a plan and you begin to put together the pieces. It's great when you get a location.

For The Unicorn I had originally written it to take place in The Walker's sculpture garden. But then they changed it and it didn't really work for what I had invisioned. I was to attached to the orginal "dream", so I put it in The Unicorn Files and started on something else. That was like 3 - 4 years ago. It was truly special to me that be mentioned in The Walker's Reader Magazine just as The Unicorn was finished and to be aired.

I met Lucy & Dawson on a couple of projects and we hit it off and agreed that we wanted to work on something else together. I went through my files and remember that I had these 2 scripts that I really wanted to produce so I sent them to Lucy. She really like The Unicorn. ART it was Art. She and Dawson both said to me that they really loved the poetry in the script.

Lucy & Dawson are working actors here and do really great work. I have worked with both of them on seperate projects and I really appreciate their work ethic.

Lucy is studying theater and does a work with The Guithre Theater and Dawson he has been in several feature films playing both lead and supporting characters. They are both very talented, so to get them to work on a project with The DownLoad Society was for me such an honor. And to do something, with them that was so different and with such passion was incredible to experience.

As for my crew, they were the greatest. Dragging all that equiment out into the woods with a tiny little path all muddy and covered in leaves and not bitching about it, wow! I really wanted to honor their contribution to the project. For what they gave i wanted to make sure it would be something that everyone could be proud of. As film makers our goal is to make a film, tell a story, connect with the audience and be recognize for our hard work.

As the director I had a lot on my shoulders. A lot to prove and I had to give everything i had to get it done. I gave myself a deadline. Dec 25th. That is when it was going to be aired. That gave me 2 months from the time we shot it to the air date. We did it.

It's interesting the different interpretations I have been getting in feedback. I know what it ment to me to make it, but what I would really like to know is what did the viewer got out of it. What did it mean to them? As an artist a part of me wants to know what others recieve from my work, It helps me understand what i am contributing to the psyke of my dreamer. If that makes any sense.

I have a theory. If you can get everyones attention and get them to look at you, you can become a mirror and allow them to see themselves. Their response is very telling. Some people are very brutal to themselves. LOL even though it directed at me and can be very hurtful at times, but i try not to take it personal because I'm just glass and they see right through me and focus on the silver lining. Which is their reflection.

thank you S2DG for your contribution to this experience.

I like the perspective of some of my favorite artists...how my art is interpeted isn't a concern for me, I just have to keep creating and improving. I used to care what people thought, it's very freeing to not care anymore.

Thanks for the background on this, it gives me more appreciation for the work involved. Actors, crew, everyone came together like a band to produce this cool piece of art. You are a true artist and you always have been.

Thank you for this experience.
