I'm asking this for a poet who has written a piece that has recently been accepted for publishing. The poem isn't specifically about Prince, but she briefly quotes some song lyrics (credited, of course), and the title of the poem is also the title of a Prince song. Her publisher has asked her to remove all Prince references. She is very committed to them and wonders whether and how she could get permission to use them. Does anyone have any ideas?
