In this episode we talk with Morris Hayes a.k.a Mr. Hayes! Morris takes us on a journey of his musical life, shares many Prince stories and pays tribute to Mr. Nelson with respect and humour (Sister Maurice might make an appearance as well!) Hilarious and great. Mr Hayes is worth his weight in gold, doing that Prince, pimp/old man voice and going on about how Prince kept pushing his ass "You should do a comedy album" - "No".

.

This is one of the realest dudes in the Prince orbit - not interested in fame, just playing the shit out of his organ and it is cool how Prince respected him, as he didn't want the moon and stars. Lots of fun thanks guys. It is even better as you know he ain't going to write no book like everyone else.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Great friggin interview. Mr. Hayes was hilarious when he does imitations and enlightening about Prince, the bands, and the music throughout.

He said Prince asked him to go through the vault and scrub material of curse words. Morris declined and said he talked Prince out of it (at the time).but he also seemed to indicate he wasn’t always comfortable with some of Prince’s racier stuff and was glad his shows became something anyone could attend.

It is possible to hold two apparently opposing thoughts in your head at the same time.

If those that listened liked Morris Hayes' description of recording Hallucination Rain with mics submerged in water, you're going to love Duane Tudahl's book...500 pages of details on recordings....incredible piece of work.
