New York Music Scene

Hiya...I'm coming over to New York this summer and wanna get playing over there. I'm a jazz/funk/soul/blues/r&b...etc...pianist/vocalist...

any of you guys know any good music joints I should look into? anybody here from NY? I'm gonna be staying in Queens but willing to travel anywhere where there's funk...!
