Come A'-Tumblin'
Even when everything seems To rage beyond your control There has to be a reason To continue on, be made whole When the world is a cypher Written in a language No one can understand You still need to engage Reach out that hand To touch another in need Heal the wound Feel the bleed Of the flesh That has gone before us And flourished despite Those obstacles in the way Knocking down all the walls Built to keep people at bay Separate and subservient Not even a trumpster's sway Can stop the people when They want to move History has shown The mere acts of a clown Can't block borders, Bonds, and billets When all the walls Come a'-tumblin' down

Interested in constructive criticism. I see where this poem falls down. Needs work. What do y'all think? Miss the days when there were active poets on here... [Edited 8/31/17 4:49am] "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato
